lyrics

On the shadows eye me grave I go wondering one day.
On the west hills on the road we stayed out of the pouring rain.
His eyes were cold his nose was black, but by his side we stayed
Until the gray cloud morning cleared the fire in our hearts away.
And with his scars and stripes he bore all our sins away.
He was bruised for our iniquities, and by his blood we're healed.

I was walking down the road and I saw him standing there.
Up from the grave he rose with a fire in his stare.
His face was bright like lighting strikes,
And the power in his words revealed that I was talking with the son of God, the very one we killed.
So I invited him to stay with me, and he made his home inside.
The three-in-one came into one, Now there's four inside.
And I know that I'm out numbered, so I plead my case to him,
I said my, "my eyes are dim, and I cannot swim, won't you be my guide?"
